Study Abroad

UC Berkeley students may apply to study for an academic year at one of the host institutions in Denmark or Sweden for the Education Abroad Program. EAP also offers a short-term summer Intensive Language Program in Denmark, which can be taken independently. EAP offers the unique opportunity to live abroad, master a foreign language, and gain self-confidence and independence--all while progressing toward a UC degree. There are study centers at the University of Copenhagen and the University of Lund. For further information, contact the EAP office (510-642-1356).

The Oslo Year Program is not sponsored directly by UC-Berkeley, but offers students of Norwegian the opportunity to immerse themselves in the study of Norwegian language, literature, and culture while spending an academic year in Oslo. For more information about courses, credit transfer, costs and housing, contact the administrators of that program directly.

Gudrun Gytel Fund Scholarships
The Gudrun Gytel Fund was established in 1998 in order to provide qualified American University students with the opportunity to further their knowledge of Danish culture, history, language, literature, politics and society. The scholarship supports semester or academic year-long study at recognized Danish institutions of higher education in the fields of humanities and social sciences, as well as in architecture, engineering, technology and related fields.
