SASS

The Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study (SASS) is the main professional organization in the United States for researchers and teachers of Scandinavian subject matter in the fields of language, literature, art history, history, and the social sciences. Members of the society can present papers at the annual meeting (usually held the first weekend of May) and receive a subscription to the quarterly journal Scandinavian Studies. Graduate students and faculty in the UCB Department of Scandinavian attend these meetings on a regular basis.

The web page for SASS contains membership information, announcements, job postings, on-line versions of Scandinavian Studies, email lists, and other useful resource links.
