Performance Program for Music Majors
The Music Department offers two series of performance classes. Click on links for additional information.
140 series (2 units): the department's performance ensembles, which are open to all students and members of the community by audition.
150 series (2-3 units): Restricted to music majors; includes lessons and coaching in addition to ensemble performance; by audition.
Music majors may enroll in the department's performance ensembles through either the 140 or the 150 series. Please note that most auditions for 150 are separate from the auditions for the 140 series. Be sure to check the audition information for the appropriate class.
All majors must take a minimum of three semesters of performance ensemble to complete the requirements for the major. This requirement may be satisfied by classes from either the 140 or the 150 series.
