Having received her Masters of Music in Historical Performance from Oberlin Conservatory in 1993, Katherine Heater went on to study harpsichord and fortepiano at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam thanks to fellowships from her alma mater UC Berkeley and Philanthropic Ventures Foundation. She has performed in Taiwan, Iceland, the Netherlands and France as well as throughout the United States. Since 1996, Ms. Heater has made her home in the East Bay where she is a teacher and frequent performer with early music ensembles as well as a member of the Junior Bach Festival Board of Directors. Ms. Heater has taught at UC Santa Cruz, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and San Jose State University.
