U.C. Berkeley University Wind Ensemble

The U.C. Berkeley Wind Ensemble is a a performance course offered (Music 142) through the U.C. Berkeley Music Department for the study and practice of traditional and contemporary wind band repertoire. Anyone in the U.C. Berkeley community is free to audition.


Audition Information

Auditions are open to the U.C. Berkeley community and occur at the beginning of each semester, during the first week of classes. They will consist of the performance of a prepared piece and sight reading. Undergraduate and graduate students have priority, but if space is available university faculty and staff are welcome. For more information, or to reserve an audition time, sign up on the posted sheet outside of Room 43 in the César Chavez Center or call (510) 643-9644. Other information is posted outside of the music department office, 104 Morrison Hall.

Rehearsal Schedule

The University Wind Ensemble rehearsal schedule for the fall semester is Mon. 4-6pm and Wed. 1-3pm (woodwinds 1-2pm and brass 2-3pm). Percussion section rehearsal TBA. All rehearsals will take place in the César Chavez Center.
