Details on diplomas can be found at http://registrar.berkeley.eduhttp://registrar.berkeley.edu PHOTOGRAPHSEach graduating student will have his or her photo taken by Bob Knight Photo as they cross the stage to accept their scroll. Bob Knight Photo will mail proofs to each graduate within one week of the ceremony. There is no obligation to order your graduation photographs. Details can be found at Bob Knight Photo DVDWe are happy to announce that the commencement ceremony will be filmed, and a DVD of the event will be available for purchase from Graduation Nation. Cost is $34.99. To order your copy of the commencement ceremony DVD, visit Graduation Nation's website. REGALIA (aka: Cap & Gown)Cap and gown rentals begin on Monday March 10, 2008 and continue throughout May. Though you can usually obtain regalia as late as the day before your event, the ASUC store recommends renting early as lines are very long in May (sometimes a wait of more than an hour). The rental includes a cap, gown, tassel with 2008 drop date, and hood (for Masters and Doctors only). The gown (and hood) must be returned by Friday June 2, 2008. You keep the cap and the tassel. Graduate Rentals: includes gown, hood (if applicable), cap, and tassel. Bachelor $40.00 NOTE: The above information was provided by the Cal Student Store and any questions regarding its content should be directed to the store at 510-642-9000, x681, or visit the graduation section of the store. GRADUATION STOLESStudents have the option of wearing a UC Berkeley stole of gratitude to their graduation ceremony. A length of satin with a special embroidered UC Berkeley seal, the stole can be worn by any student to decorate the graduation gown. The stole can be embroidered to include the name of a student organization/club, sports team, fraternity/sorority, etc. The commemorative stole of gratitude is a symbol of your accomplishments at UC Berkeley. It is designed to be worn during commencement and then presented as a token of appreciation to a family member, friend, and/or mentor who has supported you emotionally or financially throughout your academic career. The stole hangs around the back of the neck, with the two ends lying flat on the chest. Because of the fine satin, the stole tends to slip during heavy movement, so we recommend pinning the stole from the inside to the graduation gown to avoid hassle. The stole is available for purchase for $25.00. HONORS CORDSUndergraduate students completing the Departmental Honors (thesis) program are entitled to wear an Honors Cords at Commencement. The Honors Cords (double gold rope) are available for purchase by eligible students for $15.00 at the Graduation Department of the Cal Student Store. Be prepared to show student ID when purchasing an honors cord. GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTSThe Cal Student store sells formal printed announcements. Announcements come in two forms: generic or personalized. Generic announcements which are available in either English or Spanish, are sold in packs of 10 for $14.00 and include announcements, inner and outer envelopes, and cards upon which you can write your name and degree. Personalized announcements include your name, major, degree, and day, date, time, and location of your ceremony in the text of the card. They come with inner and outer envelopes. The minimum order is 25 announcements for $67.95, after which you can order more in sets of 5 for $13.95. You may also include an additional line of text to announce honors, emphasis in, minor, or double major at no extra charge. There is enough room to include two dates on your announcement, so double majors can choose to include both dates if desired.
