Resources Available to the AHMA Program

Students enrolled in AHMA quickly learn that the opportunities for study here at at U.C. Berkeley are not simply limited to the interdepartmental offerings of the program alone. In fact, the wide-ranging fields of possible study are just the beginning. Just a few of the many research resources available to Group students both on and off campus are listed below.

Libraries

Museums & Research Facilities
U.C. Berkeley provides its students with a number of opportunities to examine first-hand the actual artifacts of the cultures studied by AHMA students.
Excavation Opportunities
Opportunities abound for AHMA students interested in learning and practicing archaeological techniques first-hand. U.C. Berkeley sponsors or is associated with a number of important excavations around the world, including those at Nemea in Greece, Çatalhöyük in Turkey and Tel Dor in Israel.
Off Campus Study - America
U.C. Berkeley and the AHMA program has had long standing relations with organizations in the USA and has often provided its graduate students the opportunity to study under their direction.
Off Campus Study - Abroad
AHMA students often have the opportunity to study with academic and research organizations around the world, including in Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Italy.
