Undergraduate and Interdisciplinary Studies Graduation

Students from the six major programs in Undergraduate and Interdisciplinary Studies—American Studies, Cognitive Science, Environmental Sciences, the Interdisciplinary Studies Field Major, Mass Communications, and Religious Studies—attended their commencement ceremony in the historic Greek Theatre in May 2000. Increasing numbers of of Cal's undergraduates are drawn to the opportunity to study emerging interdisciplinary fields under the guidance of faculty from departments across Letters and Science and the professional schools: these thriving major programs have grown by 86% since 1993.
