L&S 5: What the Students Say

Brandon Teegen

Listening to these speakers has made me extremely excited to start my entrepreneur career. I have actually been inspired enough to begin creating ideas of companies and products of my own.

Amy Jiang

Each time I go to class and listen to the speakers’ stories, I learn something new. Their insights on entrepreneurship not only apply to the business world, but rather to life in general. Each speaker leaves me more inspired and motivated.

Michael Lenahan

I learned a lot from Joan Blades about the power of internet marketing and how successful even a small idea can be if you take it, run with it, have passion for it, and can inspire passion in others for it.

Ning Ma

This class has taught me to think outside of the box, to view my college academic and social career not as an obstacle to overcome but an opportunity to practice my “entrepreneurial state of mind.

What the speakers have told us about taking risks, doing instead of just thinking, and not giving up when times are really difficult has motivated me to think of what already exist in my current conditions and how to [come up with] new solutions and ways to do things.

Zexin Xu

Before taking Letters & Science 5 I thought this course is all about how to become a successful entrepreneur. Now I found this class teaches you things way beyond entrepreneurship. The guest speakers don't just share their experience with establishing successful businesses, but the insights they have learned through them. Their knowledge does more than inspire me on how to achieve a successful entrepreneurship; it teaches me to become a more open-minded person.
