Information for Continuing Students

Welcome

As Graduate Diversity Director for the Arts & Humanities in the College of Letters and Science at UC Berkeley, I provide support to continuing graduate students in the division. My support varies depending upon each student’s needs. For example, guidance can take the form of advising or mentoring. Advising topics may include applying for extramural resources, advocating on behalf of a student, facilitating the use of campus resources, enhancing one's future career choices, preparing for job interviews, or developing job search skills.

Providing mentoring may involve working closely with a graduate student over time on academic, financial or social issues. I invite continuing graduate students in the Arts and Humanities to contact me. I am available to meet with A&H graduate students either individually or in small groups to provide specific information or to develop particular skills that enhance one's experience at Berkeley and beyond.

I also encourage you to visit the section on Crafting Your Future in the Arts and Humanities. There you will find links to websites and fellowships in the arts and humanities, human resource offices at selected colleges and universities across the United States, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private and government sectors, and academic search engines that will assist in your search for employment. These websites can be used as a springboard to other sources that open a broad array of fellowship and employment opportunities for your future career.
